Last Friday we had the absolute pleasure of photographing some dear friends, Ilene and Mark Walters. Ilene wanted to preserve this very special time for her family. She is expecting their first baby girl!!! We decided to change it up and shoot in a more urban location. We thought nothing could be better than shooting downtown San Diego, near and around the central library! Mark studied Library and Information Science, so we thought it was VERY apropos. :) We started the shoot with just Ilene and her adorable son, Aaron!  

As you can see, Ilene was GLOWING...

Aaron was such a ham!  A natural born model!  

Aaron had this pose he used throughout the shoot. Ilene kept saying she had no idea where he picked that up or why he was doing it, but WE. LOVED. IT. We even made the whole family follow suit. :D

Next, we made our way over to the library... 

Yes, the library was closed and the gates were locked, but we didn't let that stop us from getting some great shots! At least until a guard reprimanded us and we had to be on our way!

and this precious moment got us all choked up. He's going to be a wonderful big brother...

This was one of the last shots as we were walking out of Petco Park.  

We cannot wait to meet their new little girl. Ilene has already purchased some outfits for the newborn shoot! Stay tuned...
