Zoe's Portrait: A New Tradition

March 15, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

One of the greatest things about the work a photographer gets to do is to create family relics that will adorn the walls of homes, fill the scrapbooks passed down to future generations, and line the wallets of proud parents and grandparents alike. We recently received an interesting inquiry from a mother who was seeking black and white portraits of her four year old daughter, Zoe. The portraits were based on a photo of Zoe's grandmother taken at the same age. Grandma wanted to have a photo that echoed her portrait and captured Zoe at the same age. We loved the idea of getting to do this for their family, and we obviously loved Zoe's name being that Zoe and Zoetic share the same root meaning of life and vitality!

Here are the results of our session:

Zoe was so proud to show off each outfit and it was a joy getting to photograph this happy girl =) Zoe has a little brother, and because they loved the way this session went, we get to look forward to creating portraits for him as well when he turns four - in about three years...

We're so thankful that we got the opportunity to help start this new tradition for Zoe and her loving family!
