We had the privilege to photograph lil' miss Evelyn for her 1st birthday photoshoot! Man was it FUN!!!! This little firecracker was all smiles and giggles. Mama had a clear vision. We love when parents get involved in the creative process behind cake smash/1st birthday sessions. A lot of times, parents will run with the theme of the nursery. Other times, they'll go with whatever the favorite colors are at the time. In this case, mama wanted to celebrate the family's texas roots and go straight cowgirl for the session!

I mean, SERIOUSLY?! The boots, the overalls, the chubs! 

We typically encourage a few outfit changes for these sessions. We have some very cute rompers for both boys and girls to use, but mama supplied all the cute outfits for this session.

Etsy and Michaels are great resources for unique props to bring a theme/vision to life for these sessions. The hay and the barrel bucket were both from Michaels and really helped with the cowgirl vibe!

Above we see Evelyn getting her dance on as she knows CAKE is coming! We work with a wonderful cake maker who does custom cakes for our clients, but this is the first time mama wanted to make her own cake! And...

And CLEARLY baby girl loved it! This session is what cake smash sessions are all about. It was fun, messy, creative and preserved an amazing milestone. This beautiful family will always have these adorable photos to cherish and remember what their little one was like at this age. I'm sure at least one of these will be included at her wedding someday. We are honored they chose us. 

Typically these sessions are baby only, but we do offer an option for family portraits like the one above. This little family was so much fun to work with. Happy birthday sweet girl. We have no doubt you'll make the world a better place with your sass, spunk, and infectious smile.
